We recently had the privilege of hosting Professor Yasuo Okada, a Visiting Scholar at Melbourne Law School and Professor at Kokugakuin University, along with his research colleagues at the Quantum office.
Professor Okada is currently undertaking comparative research on strata governance and management practices across jurisdictions. Our discussion explored community governance frameworks, operational challenges within owners corporations, and the evolving role of strata managers in building sustainable, well-governed communities.

What stood out most was the shared nature of many of these challenges. Cross-jurisdictional dialogue like this provides a valuable exchange of perspectives, particularly when examining how different systems approach issues such as governance transparency, committee dynamics, and long-term community stewardship.
It was a genuine pleasure to contribute to this research and to be part of a broader global conversation on the future of strata governance. We look forward to seeing the insights that emerge from the study.
